Inez P. Turner, age 88, widow of Earl Dorsey Turner, of 100 Glendale Manor, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at her home.
She was born in Yancy County, NC and was a daughter of the late William Burton and Mary Idella Lewis Phillips.
Mrs. Turner was retired from Clinton Mills after 40 years and then began her second career at Presbyterian College as a “Blue Lady” and worked for 21 more years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught the 6th grade girls Sunday School class for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her children, Marsha Anne Zeigler, L. Earl (Angie) Turner, Anita (William) Bell, Lana (Chuck) McCurry; daughter-in-law, Cathie Harrelson of Clinton; her grandchildren, Krista McCurry Stilwell (Todd), Margaret Anne Zeigler, Kendal Turner Nash (Malik), Kevin Turner McCurry, W.George Bell (Katie), Allix Brown Turner (Jacki); and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by a son, L. Randolph “Randy” Turner and a brother, Holbert Phillips.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 10:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with interment in Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends after the service.

The family is at home of her daughter Anita Bell at 213 Young Drive in Clinton.
