Ira Belle Summer Young

Ira Belle Summer Young, age 80, of 29648 Hwy. 76 East died Sunday, November 4, 2007 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Newberry and was the daughter of the late Ben and Annie Morgan Summer.
Mrs. Young first worked for Greenwood Mills, Joanna Plant and later retired from Whitten Center. She was also a member of Hurricane Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Carroll Simpson Young of the home; two daughters and sons-in law, Carol Ann and Bryan Gault and Lynn and Carlton Smith all of Clinton; two sisters, Florrie Wells of Kinards and Alice Ginn of Sevierville, TN; six grandchildren, Laura Ann Gault, Kelly Gault, Jessica Gault, Carlie Smith, Matthew Smith and Justin Smith; three great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Archie Summer, Dewey Summer and a sister, Iris Barnes.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Hurricane Baptist Church with interment in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the church Family Life Center from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m..
