Irby Watts Ferguson, Jr.

November 21, 1946 — August 9, 2018

Irby Watts Ferguson, Jr., 71, of Clinton passed away from complications of post-polio syndrome on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Langston Place.
He was born in Clinton and was the son of the late Irby Watts Ferguson, Sr. and Mary Lou Johnson Ferguson. He attended Clemson and was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton. He was retired from the City of Clinton.
Mr. Ferguson is survived by his two brothers, Dean (Jamie) Ferguson and Will (Teresa) Ferguson all of Clinton, SC, his sister, Mary Ann (Russell) Epting of Anderson, SC; his nephews, David (Michelle) Epting of Melbourne, FL, Chris (Maureen) Epting of Fort Mill, SC, with their sons Sean and Spencer, Stephen (Venus) Epting of Anderson, SC, with their daughters Alex and Emma, and Jim (Kathryn) Ferguson of Simpsonville, SC, with their sons Caleb and Levi; his nieces, Mary Kate (Brendan) Kleiboer of Durham, NC and Mary Beth Ferguson of Clinton, SC.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 2 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. A private family burial will be held at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the loving care provided to Watts by the staff at the Langston Place of Clinton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton, PO Box 29, Clinton, SC 29325, or to the Hospice of Laurens County, PO Box 178, Clinton, SC 29325.
