Irene Hamby Rogers

Irene Hamby Rogers age 77 widow of Roy Rogers, of 368 Singing Pine Road died Friday, Sept. 14th in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of the late Leon T. and Julia Tucker Hamby.
Mrs. Rogers was a former employee of Laurens Mill.
Surviving are two sons, Joey Rogers of Waterloo, Mark Rogers of Laurens; five daughters, Judy Knight of Gray Court, Gloria Bull of Mountville, Julia (Punk) Hunt of Waterloo, Laura Lulu Campbell of Gray Court, Jamie Rogers of Laurens; four sisters, Mabel Pearson of Laurens, Martha Bolt of Laurens, Jean Blackwell of Clinton, Faye Hall of Union; one brother, Troy Hamby of Laurens; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael and Chuck Rogers.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, Sept. 16th at 2:00 p.m. the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
