Irene Merchant Brewer

Irene Merchant Brewer, age 86, and formerly of Glendale Manor and the widow of Bennie Brewer died Saturday, November 3, 2007 in the NHC of Clinton.
She was born in Newberry County and was the daughter of the late Claude T. and Lillie Johnson Merchant.
Mrs. Brewer was ertired from Bailey Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Elizabeth St. Church of God.
She is survived by a daughter, Josephine McCall and husband, Joe of Clinton; three sons, Sam Richard Brewer and wife, Linda,Bennie Bluford Brewer and wife, Alice and James Earl Brewer and wife, Faye all of Clinton; a brother, C.T. Merchant of Kinards and a sister, Thelma Harris of Clinton; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Fulmon.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interement in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Josephine McCall, 235 Skyland Drive, Clinton.
