Irene Motes Stroud

Irene Motes Stroud, age 72, of 502 Bailey St. and widow of Harold C. Stroud died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at her home.
She was born in Clinton and was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Lillie Mae Motes.
Mrs. Stroud was retired from Whitten Center and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Darren Stroud and Kenneth Stroud both of Clinton; one brother, Thomas F. Motes, Jr. of Clinton; four grandchildren, Karla Stroud, Tracy Stroud, Adam Stroud all of Clinton and Amanda Benton of Charlotte, NC; two great grandsons, Jordan Stroud and Zachery Benton.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her brother, 301 Jacobs Hwy., Clinton.
