Iris Simmons Bragg age 82, formerly of 74 Sunset Blvd. and widow of Fred D. Bragg, Jr. died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at NHC of Clinton.
She was born in Abbeville and was a daughter of the late Walter T. (Jack) and Madge Sorrow Simmons.
Mrs. Bragg was retired after 28 years at Whitten Center and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.
She is survived by three daughters, Sue Sanders and husband, Mike of Greenwood, Patricia Bond and husband, David of Ninety Six, and Gloria Smith and husband, R.G. of Clinton; a brother, Bobby Joe Simmons and wife, Judy of Joanna; two sisters, Annette Adams and husband, Bryan, and Judy Weaver and husband, Donald, both of Joanna; seven grandchildren, Angie Robertson and husband, Brent, Patrick Bond and wife, Jennifer, Alan Sanders and wife, Aimee, Matthew Bond and wife, Emily, Davida Bankston and husband, Casey, Bryan Smith and wife, Erin, and Amanda Smith; and eleven great grandchildren.
Cryptside services will be conducted Wednesday, March 24th at 4:00 p.m. in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at the Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will be at the home of R.G. and Gloria Smith at 50 Skyland Drive in Clinton.
Memorials may be made to the Youth Ministry of the First Baptist Church in Clinton or to the Laurens Memorial Home.
