Isaac Daniel Evans

Isaac D. Evans age 73 of 633 Whitmire Hwy. died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Goldville, SC and was a son of the late James Edward and Leona Freeman Evans.
Mr. Evans retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class with 21 years of service including two tours in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star. He later retired as a market manager with Ingles and Community Cash. Mr. Evans attended Fairview Baptist Church and was a member of the Joanna Men’s Club.
He is survived by his wife, Inge G. Evans of the home; a son, James Evans and wife, Vaughan of Chapin, SC; two daughters, Diana Lamb of Powell, TN, and Gail Farmer and husband, Wayne of Camden, SC; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and a sister, Deseree Morris of Newberry.
Mr. Evans was predeceased by his sisters, Francis Oswalt, Willette Smith, Marjorie Woodward and his brothers, Freeman, Alvin and Lewis Evans.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4th at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens with military honors.
The members of the Joanna Men’s Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Saturday before the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
