Jack D. Pitts

Jack D. Pitts, age 74 of 205 Finney Dr. died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late Clair Daniel and Janella Boland Pitts.
Mr. Pitts retired as owner of Pitts Auto Sales and Rentals, was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Randall Sunday School Class, the Campbell Masonic Lodge # 44 and Hejaz Shrine Club.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Bodie Pitts of the home; three sons, Jack D. Pitts, Jr. and wife, Rhea of Mt. Pleasant, David A. Pitts and wife, Cynthia of Clinton and Darrell E. Pitts and wife, Kelly of Clinton; two brothers, Frank S. Pitts of Clinton and Jerry R. Pitts of Charleston; one sister, Sally P. Braswell of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Jack Pitts III of Charleston, Jannah Smith of Seoul, S. Korea, Brock Pitts and Taylor Pitts both of Mt. Pleasant, Reighley Pitts, Anna Claire Pitts, Davidson Pitts and Caroline Pitts all of Clinton.
Mr. Pitts was predeceased by a brother, Clair Pitts and a sister, Nancy P. Dixon.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 20th at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Clinton with burial in the Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home.
