Jacob Hill

Jacob Hill, age 57, of 105 Gordon St. died Saturday, August 9, 2008 in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Whitmire and was the son of the late Rev. Lewis and Ellie Mae Seymore Hill.
Mr. Hill was retired from Torrington Bearings Co. was a Mason at the Campbell Lodge and was a member of the Sounds of Joy singing group and personally recorded two cassettes “ I Call It Home” and “Friends”. He also was a member at Bellview Baptist Church where he taught the 4 and 5 yr. olds at Sunday School.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Rowe Hill of the home; three nephews, Ron Hill of Buffalo, Larry Nelson of Greenville and John Nelson of Pelzer.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Bellview Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
