Jacob Daniel Sulton, Jr. age 60 of 12075 Hwy. 56 died Thursday, April 13, 2006 at his home.
He was born in Charleston SC and was a son of the late J.D. Sulton Sr. and the late Mildred Purvis Sulton.
Mr. Sulton received his BS degree from Limestone College, was a U.S. Army veteran having served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was owner of Cross Anchor Steel and was retired from Duke Power. He was a member and Past Master of Cross Anchor Masonic Lodge and a Scottish Rite member, a former president and member of the Cross Anchor Shrine Club, member of Cross Anchor Ruritan, former president of Meansville-Riley Water Board, a member of the SC State Water Commission, and member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Mr. Sulton is survived by his wife, Jane Lamb Sulton of the home; a brother, Willard W. Sulton and wife, Mary, of Orlando, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Fredrick (Reudean) Ravlin of Daytona Beach, Florida; a sister-in-law, Polly Lamb Baker and husband Tom of Cross Anchor; brother-in-law, Jim Lamb of Columbia; and two nieces and two nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
The family will be at the home of Polly and Tom Baker, 12025 Hwy. 56, Cross Anchor.
