James Curtis Childers, age 71, and widower of Kathy Johnson Childers, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at his home in Whitmire.
He was born in Whitmire and was the son of the late James Elford and Wilma Louise Long Childers.
Mr. Childers was survived by his sister, Brenda Childers Wallen of Whitmire; his nieces and nephews, Travis Wallen (Jenny), Tracy Pridham (Troy), Tammy Rhinehart, Chandra Zercher (Greg), Karen Amick (Kenny) and Christie Gregory (Scott); and thirteen great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Glenda Carol Childers.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020, at 3 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1160 Trinity Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
