James "Pigeon" Copeland

James “Pigeon” Copeland passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 73. 

Born to parents Harold and Nellie Copeland, he was a native and resident of Clinton, SC. He was married to his beloved wife, Jean, for 53 years and was a loving father to twins, Jamie and Janice. 

James was an avid golfer and, up until his recent health struggles, could be found on the golf course any given day. Only his love for his family, and most especially his grandsons, topped his affection for the greens and his tee times. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jean Walters Copeland, and daughters Jamie Bigham and Janice (Aubary)Farmer. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his grandsons, Tycen Bigham “Spud”, Sawyer Bigham “Patch”, James Aubary Farmer “Doodle”, Milo Moye “Scooter”, and great grandson, Mars.

James is also survived by his brothers, Wayne (Becky) Copeland and Tim Copeland, and his many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Davidson Street Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. 

The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at the Church.
