James Harold Holman age 78, of 400 Hilldale Avenue, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Self Regional Hospital.
He was the son of the late Herbert D. and Thelma Vandiver Holman. Mr. Holman was the owner of Holman House Rentals, a member of the Palmetto #19 Masonic Lodge, Hejaz Shrine Temple and the Laurens County Shrine Club. He was also of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Janette Snow Holman; sons Mitchell (Lisa) Holman, and Stanley (Jessica) Holman; grandchildren Amanda (Shane) Smith, Lindsey Holman, and Alexis Holman; step-grandchildren Amanda (Aaron) Carpenter, and Alan (Miranda) Langston; great-grandchildren, Makynli Holman, Branton Smith, Rebekah Carpenter, Victoria Carpenter, and Cason Langston; brothers Herbert (Betty) Holman, Jr. of Gainesville, GA, and Charles (Sharon) Holman of Clinton; a sister Dorothy (Joe) Shaw of Atlanta, GA. Special extended family includes Eddie and Melissa Cogdill, James and Claire. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, George Calvin Holman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17th at 11:00 AM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
