James C. Kernells, Jr.

James C. Kernells, Jr., age 80, of 300 Marion Place, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at his home.
He was born in Laurens, and was the husband of Sylvia Kernells, and the son of the late Claude and Ila R. Kernells.
Mr. Kernells was a National Guard Veteran, and retired from Clinton Mills. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was also a Deacon of Beaverdam Baptist Church and a Gideon.
He is survived by his children, Ila Ann Smith (Rick) of Clinton, Dennis Kernells of the home and Jimmy Kernells of Powdersville; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 3rd at 3 PM at Rosemont Cemetery with Masonic Rites and Military Rites.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
