James E. Polson, age 90, of 112 Milling Street, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at the NHC of Clinton.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late Lee Otis and Pauline Baker Polson.
Mr. Polson was a former employee of Clinton Mills and retired from Timken Bearing Company. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and enjoyed raising Parrots and Birds and attending the Joanna Auction and Flea Markets.
He is survived by his sons Rickey Polson (Tammy), his daughters Carol Johnson, Helen Smith (Ronnie), seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Gladys McCravey Polson; his four children Jamie Polson, David Polson, Shirley Fuller, and Kathy Polson; his brothers Buddy Polson and Junior Polson; and his sister Margie Brewer.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 24th at 3:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Campbell with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of his son, Rickey Polson, 1331 Sunset Blvd, Clinton, SC 29325.
