James Carol Steele, of 8 Old Airport Road, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born in Whitmire and was a son of Brice and Nadine Bostic Steele.
Mr. Steele was a former employee of S & J.
He is survived by his estranged wife, Christy Gault Steele; a son, Devin Duval of Red Bank, SC; a daughter, Vanessa Mansfield of Wilmington, NC; four brothers, Brice Steele, Jr. of Clinton, Vince Sanford of Columbia, Brian and William (Bit) Steele both of Whitmire; and five sisters, Patricia Melton and Edith Steele both of Leesville, Ronda Jackson of Piedmont, Tammy Watson of Lexington, and Rita Wells of Clinton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9th, at 3:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, with burial at Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
