James Otto Wainright passed away with the same dignity as he had lived on the morning of Thursday May 21st 2020.
On January 26th 1948, Jim was welcomed into the world by father Otto Wainright and mother Olga Nabors Wainright.
Jim proudly served in the US Army as a drill instructor during the Vietnam era. After which, he came home to Clinton, SC and married Jolene (Bonnie) Lanier.
Jim Wainright Plumbing was soon founded, and he would serve excellence in plumbing to Laurens County while raising an impressively large family. He strived to balance work and home life with humor and discipline, while teaching honesty and appreciation to his family. He put the welfare of his family ahead of himself, loved his community and his large loyal customer base, and worked hard to benefit others. Society could use more like him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Billy Joe (Bill) Woodard Sr. and sister Joy Lawson. He is survived by loving wife Jolene Wainright, and brother James (Jim) Martin of Greensboro NC. Jim had 7 children: Jamey, Joe, John, Jason, Julie, Jared, and Janet, as well as 16 loving grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews and their families. Jim will be missed by many.
