James A. McLemore, age 71, of 1553 Fleming St. Ext. died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Picayune, Mississippi and was the son of the late Addison Dooley and Dorothy Krueger McLemore.
Mr. McLemore was retired from Walmart, attended the Gospel Tabernacle Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Keller McLemore of the home; two daughters, Gayline Pennington of Laurens and Rachel Medcalf of Paragould, Arkansas; two sons, Franklin Cronin of Houston, TX and James McLemore of Conroe, TX; two sisters, Alice Spooner of Greenville, NC and Elizabeth Taylor of New Bern, NC; 8 grandchildren, A.J. Pennington, Alex Pennington, Jessica Cronin, Bonnie Wagner, Jamie Cronin, Hailey McLemore, Austin McLemore and Jacob McLemore.
He was predeceased by a brother, William McLemore.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
