James C. Hannah , age 71 of 209 Finney Drive, Clinton, South Carolina died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was the husband of Jeanne S. Hannah and son of the late Robert and Nettie Hannah.
James was a graduate of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and retired from the South Carolina Highway Patrol Investigative Unit. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of the South Carolina Troopers Association. He was a member of First Baptist Clinton , a member of the Lenzy Randall Sunday School Class, and a Hejaz Shriner.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his step-son, Tommy Sims and wife Linda of Cross Anchor, SC; a sister, Martha Baker & her husband Kenneth of Whitmire, SC; one step granddaughter; and 5 step grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Grady, Alfred and R.L Hannah and 1 step granddaughter.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol will serve as honorary escort as well as the Honor Guard. Active Pallbearers: Colie Dilleshaw, Madison Pitts, Ed Campbell, Mack Heustess, Lenzy Randall and Charles Oxner.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 20th at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Clinton with burial following at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Cross Anchor, SC.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Clinton.
