James David Bryson, Sr. a kind and loving man of 210 York Street, Clinton, S.C. went home to be with his Lord on May 27, 2011. Born October 11, 1925 in Mountville, S.C., he was the son of the late Samuel Winfield and Grace K. Bryson of Clinton, S.C.
Mr. Bryson retired from Whitten Center and was a member of the Davidson Street Baptist Church.
He leaves behind two devoted children, a daughter, Susan B. Potts and her husband, Jimmy of Clinton and a son, David Bryson and his wife, Sylvia of Piedmont. He will also be missed by his two granddaughters and two grandsons, Nikki B. Scott of Piedmont and Ashley B. Bacon and her husband, Lewis of Homewood, AL;, Jay Potts of Rock Hill, S.C. and Lee Potts of Newberry. Mr. Bryson also had seven great grandchildren, Lara and Sophie Scott, Olivia and Caroline Harmon and Jessica, Sarah and Tyler Bacon.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mae K. Bryson and a brother, Robert W. Bryson.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be conducted at the Davidson Street Baptist Church on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29th.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
