James Edward Starnes

James Edward Starnes, age 71 of 207 Starnes Road died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Laurens and was the son of the late Claude Lee and Ruby Deketler Starnes.
Mr. Starnes was a former employee of 3M and was a shriner with the Hejaz Shrine Temple.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Yoakem Starnes of the Home; a son Jamie E. Starnes of Laurens; a brother, Cecil Kenneth Starnes of Simpsonville; a sister, Nancy Davis of Gray Court and a grandson, Ty Samuel Orr of Union.
A graveside service will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
