James Edward "Sam" Seawright

James Edward (Sam) Seawright, age 75 of 377 Lakewood Dr. died Monday, May 7, 2007 in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Joanna and was a son of the late Johnny and Ruth Jenkins Seawright.
Mr. Seawright was owner of Uncle Sam’s Mobile Homes, he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the PEP Club of the church, the Joanna Lion’s Club and the American Legion Post 56. Mr. Seawright served proudly with the 1st Marine Corp Division as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mary Crawford Seawright of the home; two sons, James Edward Seawright, Jr. and (Kim) and Bill Seawright; a daughter, Cathy Seawright Hairston and (Joe); five grandchildren Melissa and Austin Chandler, Meredith Hairston, Macey and Brooks Seawright; one great grandchild, Anna Grace Chandler.
He was predeceased by one brother, Buddy Seawright.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 9th at 4:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
