James Frank Merchant

James Frank Merchant, age 55, of 7088 SC Hwy. 56 died Saturday, December 3rd at his home.
He was born in Laurens County and was the son of Claude T. Merchant, Sr. of Kinards and the late Mary Deyton Merchant.
Mr. Merchant was retired from Asten-Johnson prior to his employment at Greenwood Mills.
He was a member of the Lydia Mill Church of God and was a U.S. Marine veteran.
He is survived by a daughter, Fronde Merchant of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Curtis Merchant of Laurens, Wayne Merchant and Gene Merchant both of Kinards; four sisters, Colleen Young, Diane Parks, Cathy Deadwyler all of Clinton and Carolyn Huey of Laurens.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at their respective homes and the immediate family will be at 201 E. Centennial St. in Clinton.
