James Hubert Higgins, Sr.

James Hubert Higgins, Sr. ,age 80, of 4062 Greenpond Rd. and widower of Nancy Curry Higgins died Tuesday, October 18th in the Anderson Area Medical Center.
He was born in Hodges, S.C. and was son of the late Eugene and Hattie Wright Higgins.
Mr. Higgins was owner of Higgins Used Cars, a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II having served on the USS Uhlmann, member of Beulah Baptist Church, and also a mason.
He was also a loving father to his children, James “Jimmy” Hubert Higgins, Jr. and wife, Holly of Gray Court, Judy H. Cook and husband, Bobby of Simpsonville and Marcia H. Stafford and husband, John of Simpsonville; a loving grandfather to, Becky Nobarak and husband, Fadi, Drew Stafford, Molly Stafford, Hannah Higgins and Ashley Staton Higgins; and great-grandchildren, Sydney Nobarak and Elias Nobarak.
He was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 20th at 2:00 P.M. at Beulah Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Judy H. Cook, 204 W. Fernwood Dr., Simpsonville.
