James Kirby Ritchie
James Kirby Ritchie, age 63, 1900 Nice Drive died April 28th in Corona, CA.
He was born in Greenville County and was the son of the late James Phillip and Louise Leopard Ritchie.
Mr. Ritchie was a graduate of Hillcrest High School and received an Associates Degree from Greenville Tech. He was employed for twenty years with American Monorail in Simpsonville; was a former employee of Spartanburg Steel and Carmet of Spartanburg and was currently an employee of MPP of Ananaheim, CA and was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Kathleen Ritchie of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Poole and her husband, James of Gray Court; one son , James K. Ritchie, II of Fountain Inn; two step-sons and daughter-in-law, Gary Stratton and his wife Bonna of Sacramento, CA and Andrew Stratton of Idaho; a brother, Grady Ritchie of Simpsonville; three sisters, Patsy Weathers of Simpsonville, Judith Stone and Evelyn Barnett both of Fountain Inn; four grandchildren, Jimmy Poole, Ashely Poole, Lorie Poole and Megan Ritchie.
He was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Ray Ritchie.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in Cannon Memorial Park in Fountain Inn.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Linda Poole, 13967 Hwy. 101, Gray Court. The brothers and sisters will be at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
