James Paul Motes, Sr.

James Paul Motes, Sr. age 77 of 7733 Old Milton Road died Thursday, January 8, 2009 in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late Thomas and Lillie Mae Bishop Motes.
Mr. Motes retired from Greenwood Mills and was a WW II Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie King Motes of the home; a son, James Paul Motes, Jr. of Newberry; a daughter, Mitzi Ann Kates of Clinton; a brother, Thomas Franklin Motes of Clinton; a sister, Irene Stroud of Clinton; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of the daughter at 7265 Old Milton Road in Clinton.
