James Ray King, Sr.

James (Ray) King, Sr., age 67 of 314 Foxgrove Rd., died Tuesday, Jan. 31st in the Self Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late W. H. and Georgia B. King.
He was owner of J.R. Mart, Inc., J. R. Liquors, Inc. and J. R. Rentals, Inc. He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Cora Medlin King of the home, one daughter, Darlene King Summer of Clinton, three brothers, Heyward King, Kenneth King and Larry King all of Clinton, two sisters, Connie Sue May and Betty Joann Sanders both of Clinton, two grandchildren, James (Alex) Summer and Hannah Marie King both of Clinton.
He was predeceased by a son, James Ray King, Jr. (Jamie), a sister, Nancy Coker and three brothers, Carlton King, Shealy King and Robert King.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 2nd at 3:30 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Phil Bryson with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home.
