James “Roger” Wood, age 64 of 76 Wayne’s Trail died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late James Clarence Wood and Violet Foster Wood Bagwell and his step-father, Fred Bagwell.
Mr. Wood was retired from Clinton Newberry Natural Gas and a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Renwick Wood of the home; one son, Brian M. Wood of Laurens; one daughter, Jessica Vaughn Wood of the home; one granddaughter, Madilyn Wood; three brothers-in-law, Steven Renwick (Wanda) , Mike Renwick (Sonja), Doug Renwick (Patti), a sister-in-law, Amy Bryson (Robert); his mother-in-law and friend, Grace Renwick and a special caregiver, Daryl Smith and his beloved dog, Chazzy.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 22nd at 4:00 p.m. at the St. James United Methodist Church by Rev. Charlie Short.
