James Taylor “Jimmy” Parsons, age 56 1304 Anderson Ridge Rd., Greer died Monday, Nov. 23rd at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
He was born in Tawas City, Michigan and was a son of Delia “Dee” Cooper of Lanford and the late Sam T. Parsons.
Mr. Parsons grew up in the Lanford Community in Laurens County, was a carpenter, a US Army veteran and member of the Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a special friend, Blanche Culbertson of the home, two brothers, Dale Parsons of Lanford, Randy Parsons of New York, New, York; two sisters, Donna Werner of Woodruff and LuAnn Smeal of Greenwood.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 25th at 4:00 p.m. in the Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery by Mr. Tom Cooper and Rev. Burton Ott.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
The family will be at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Children Hospital, 950 E. Faris Rd., Greenville 29605 or McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
