Jane Long

Jane S. Long, age 66, of Bailey Manor, 300 Jacobs Hwy. Apt. 111 died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Newberry and was the daughter of the late Sherman G. and Vanessa Chasteen Sessoms.
Mrs. Long was a graduate of the University of South Carolina Psychology Program and had a Masters Degree from Clemson University in Guidance and Counseling. She retired from Whitten Center as Director of Residential Programs and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Larry Long, of the home, her daughters Lisa Chapman and husband John of Clinton, SC; Laura Richardson and husband Bobby of Chapin, SC; four grandchildren, Alyssa Shiflet, Johnathan Shiflet, Emma Richardson, and Morgan Richardson; and three step-grandchildren, Lyvia Chapman, Landon Chapman, and Lauren Chapman.
There will be a Memorial Service held for Mrs. Long at the First Baptist Church on Friday at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
The family will be at the home of the daughter, Lisa Chapman, 213 Huntingdon Road, Clinton, SC.
In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 301 S Broad Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
