Janet Bodie Gardner

Janet Bodie Gardner, age 74, widow of Harold L. “Beau” Gardner, of 605 Milton Road passed away on Monday, January 15th, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Newberry and was the daughter of the late Mary Coats and James M. Bodie, Sr.
Mrs. Gardner was well known and loved by many for her years of working with the public. She was a former school board member and a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Martha Gardner of Clinton, and Jay and Lori Gardner of Clinton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Ray Kelley of Joanna; six grandchildren, Mimi and Mike Sparkman of Clinton, Lorrie and John Boling of Joanna, B.J. and E.J. Gardner of Clinton, Cassie and Shane Puckett of the home, Jamie Kelley and Billy Powell of Joanna, and Drew and Sara Gardner of Clinton; six great-grandchildren, Zackary Boling, Collin and Lucas Sparkman, Bella Gardner, Fisher and Ailee Puckett; and a beloved pet, Molly.
Mrs. Gardner was predeceased by a sister, Lillian B. Seawright and a brother, Junior Bodie.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 17th at 3:00 p.m. at Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home shared with Cassie and Shane Puckett at 605 Milton Road, Joanna and also at the home of Rick and Martha Gardner at 214 Mansdale Drive in Clinton.
