Janice Fowler Tankersley age 62, of 97 Subertown Road, Whitmire died
Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union.
She was born in Newberry County and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Lorene Caldwell Fowler.
Mrs. Tankersley was a former employee of J.P. Stevens and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Tankersley Sr. of the home; a son, Shannon W. Gossett and Brenda Abercrombie of Whitmire; two step-sons, Charles E. Tankersley Jr. of Pauline, and Johnny Tankersley of the home; a daughter, Sandy Price and Ricky Freeman of Whitmire; a brother, Edward Veron Fowler of Prosperity; a sister, Peggy Caudill of Whitmire; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Joe C. Fowler.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home chapel in Whitmire with interment in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at their respective homes.
