Janie Vee Yarbrough age 92, widow of Charles Yarbrough died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at White Oak Manor in Newberry.
She was born in Boiling Springs and was a daughter of the late Curtis and Mindy Bonham Hall.
She was retired from J. P. Stevens and was a member of the Heritage Wesleyan Church, where she taught children’s Sunday School for 54 years. She sang in a gospel trio for 17 years and sang solos and played the organ until going to White Oak Manor.
Surviving are her son, Ralph Yarbrough of Arkansas, a daughter, Nicki Crosby of Whitmire; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Farmer, a brother, Carroll Hall and a sister, Melba Scott.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Nicki Crosby, 1514 Church Street, Whitmire, SC.
