Jean Smith Schroeder

Jean Smith Schroeder, age 87, of Middleburg, NY, passed away, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.
Born April 14, 1936 in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Edward Andrew and Clara Perry Virginia Flint. Mrs. Schroeder earned her master’s degree in Agronomy from Cornell University. Her career was dedicated to education as a teacher and librarian. Jean always owned horses and dogs. She enjoyed horseback riding, obedience training and showing her dogs; standard schnauzers, and schipperkes.
Mrs. Schroeder was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish in Middleburg, NY.
She is survived by her daughters, Jenifer Whiteside Dixon (Douglass), and Joanna Whiteside Setzler (Tom); her five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester, NY.
