Jean Carolyn (Tootsie) Lindley DeShields of 8204 Hwy. 92 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jimmy Lee DeShields, her parents, Marvin and Thelma Lindley,and a sister, Dorothy Nelle Quinn.
Mrs. DeShields is survived by her three children who adored her, Cynthia D. Clifford, her friend Tim Walker; Jeffrey M. DeShields and wife, Debra and Sharon D. O’Bryant and husband, Jerry; sister, Patricia L. Clawson of Lancaster, VA; brother-in-law, Billy DeShields; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Byars both of Lanford; grandchildren, Becky Compton, Ashley DeShields, Jennifer Holmes, Brooke Clifford and Jemma Grace O’Bryant; great grandchildren, Heather Malone, Marley Malone, Kelsey Holmes and MacKenzie Holmes.
Mrs. DeShields was a homemaker and was a member of Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the church.
