Jeffery Ray Cannon, 60, died Tuesday, Feb. 23.
A lifelong resident of Clinton, he was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Hays Hospital to Robert Lee Cannon and Geraldine Barbery Cannon. They preceded him in death.
Mr. Cannon graduated from Clinton High School and North Greenville Junior College and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lander College in 1977.
He was employed by Laurens County Emergency Medical Services and by Whitten Center before his retirement, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clinton.
Mr. Cannon enjoyed playing his guitar and singing for groups at Bailey Manor and at NHC, where he resided after his retirement.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Jayne Cannon of Charlotte, N.C.
A private service was held, with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to The Lander Foundation, Lander University, 320 Stanley Ave., Greenwood, SC 29649.
