Jerry Garland Hendrix

Jerry Garland Hendrix, age 87, of Clinton, SC, husband of Ione Hendrix, passed away, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his home.

Jerry was born February 12, 1938 in Forsyth County, NC, he was the son of the late James Roscoe and Dorothy Hendrix Wells and Poppy Wells. He worked with Anderson Hosiery, and later owned and operated Hendrix Sporting Goods. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Most of all, Jerry loved spending time with his family, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff Hendrix (Donna), Randy Hendrix (Leslie); his daughter, Sandy Webb (Danny); his step-children, Todd Wigley (Tammy), and Michelle Miller; his brother, Ricky Wells (Elise); his grandchildren, Luke, Josh, Dakota, Melissa, Cole, Chad, Ryan, Brandi, and Holly; his eighteen great-grandchildren; his step-granddaughters, Ashton, and Abby; and his step-grandson, Justin.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Hannah Hudson Hendrix; and his son, Jerry “Mike” Hendrix.

Funeral Services will be held, 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mark Entrekin and Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the Church.
