Jerry Wayne Strickland

Jerry Wayne Strickland age 68 of 1386 Lover’s Lane, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Lexington Medical Center.
He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late Austin William and Dollie Lawson Strickland.
Mr. Strickland was a retired Police Officer with 35 years of services and he attended Grace Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Toni Lowman Strickland of the home; four children, Bill (Whitney) Strickland of Guyton, GA, Jeff (Jaime) Strickland of Union, Cory Sapp of Whitmire, Heather (Ben) Nelson of Whitmire; a brother, A.W. Strickland of Whitmire; one sister, Betty Reardon (Carlisle "Red Dog") of Whitmire and six grandchildren, John Strickland, Connor Strickland, Aidan Strickland, Carson Sapp, Makaylee Nelson, Sawyer Nelson.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a brother, David Strickland and a sister, Hazel Strickland Ford.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 30th at 6:00 P.M. at Grace Baptist Church by Rev. Tommy Harris.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 West Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
The family will be at the home his daughter, Heather Nelson, 264 Smith St., Whitmire, SC.
