He was born in Mt. Airy, NC and was a son of the late Fletcher Alvis and Pauline Easter Martin.
He truly was a great talent.
Surviving are one son, Joshua Wayne Martin of Lexington, NC and two brothers, Gary Martin of Raleigh, NC and Larry Martin of Mt. Airy, NC.
Gray Funeral Home of Clinton assisted the family.
