Jessica Frazier Wise, age 41, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her home in Newberry.
She was born on July 26, 1983 in Clinton, SC and was the daughter of Todd Frazier (Tammy) and Teresa Wicker (David).
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Thomas Wise, III; her children Koby Samples (Alicia Faulks), Trystan Samples, and Eli Johnson; her two daughters in love, Savannah Johnson and Emily Saverance; her granddaughter, Josie Ann Samples; her grandparents, Ken and Linda Frazier and Christie McGuirt; her brothers, Jamey Frazier, Blake Frazier (Brandy), Fudd Frazier (Tiffany), Zeb Wicker (Stephanie); son by love, Michael Wise; her best friend and baby sister, Kiley Frazier Meeks (Blake); her aunts, Rhonda Sue Tinsley (Larry Prewitt), Leigh Ann McCarley (John); lifelong friends, Kayci Proctor, Rosemary Floyd, Dana Walker Saenz, and Heath Haney; her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and others she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her granny, Elaine T. Frazier; her sister, Megan D. Frazier; her aunt, Sonya D. Frazier; her granddaddy, Ronald J. McGuirt; and her uncle, Donnie McGuirt.
Jessica was an LPN for 20 plus years. She also began sub teaching in 2016 for Newbery County School District at Whitmire Community School. She coached youth recreational basketball in Whitmire. She became the assistant basketball coach at Whitmire Community School in 2022. She became the sub nursing for Newberry County School District. She loved impacting youth and loved her student athletes so much.
She attended and helped start and name Fountain of Faith Baptist Church in Joanna. She was a member of the Praise Team and lead in song worship there as well. She loved music and singing gospel music. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church all her life and that was her home church.
She was devoted to raising her three kids and took many others as her own. She was an advocate and avid caregiver for her son Eli. She was blessed to call Dr. Robyn Hatley, (Peds Surgeon, Augusta, GA) a friend and family. Her faith was tested many times, especially with cancer. However, even if she received “Ultimate Healing”, she was a winner either way.
Flowers are welcome, monetary donations can be made to the Whitmire Lady Basketball program or Newberry County School District Special Education Department in honor of her son, Eli Johnson, in her memory.
Funeral services with Nurses Honors will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. Monty Osborne and Mr. Buddy Bridges officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
