Jimmie Emory Barber, Jr.

Jimmie E. Barber, Jr., age 71 of 109 Lake St. died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late Jimmie E. Barber, Sr. and Jewel Crisp Barber.
Mr. Barber was retired from the Torrington Bearing Company in Clinton was a member of the Roseboro Masonic Lodge # 195 A.F.M. and the South Carolina National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Abrams Barber of the home; one daughter, Cynthia Denise Lindler and her husband, Daniel of Whitmire; one son, Jason Emory Barber and his wife, Brandy of Thomasville, GA: two sisters, Rose M. Boling of Clinton and Victoria L. Barber of Whitmire; four grandchildren, Hailey Coats, Gavin Jackson, Victoria Barber and Bryson Barber and one great grandchild, William River Mills.
He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Bostic and a brother, Gary Barber.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Nov. 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
