Jimmy Henderson Henry

Jimmy Henderson Henry, age 79, of Clinton, SC, husband of Carolyn Melton Henry, passed away, Friday, September 13, 2024, at Hospice of Laurens County.

Born November 18, 1944 in Woodruff, SC, he was a son of the late James Stewart and Elsie Pearl Banks Henry. After a dedicated career of 40 years as a grinder operator at Torrington Bearing Company, Jimmy embraced retirement, cherishing the time spent outdoors engaging in his favorite hobbies of fishing and camping. He was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and loved his family and his dog Princess, more than anything.

Jimmy was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, he had a deep love for his Lord and cherished his faith. 

In addition to his loving wife of 40 years, he is survived by his children, Sheila Socorro (Mike) of Woodruff, Melissa McMahan (Shawn) of Greenville, Amanda Chastain (Jared) of Woodruff, Jason Reardon (Mary) of Spartanburg, and Timothy Reardon (Tammy) of Gray Court; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Deb Motes of Silver Street.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. David English officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Whitmire Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
