Jo Lane Eugenia Maness

Jo Lane Eugenia Maness, age 79, went home to the Lord, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Newberry Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 2, 1942, in Abbeville, SC and was a daughter of the late Albert Mars and Wilton G. Mars. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her great cooking and her professional procrastination.
Mrs. Maness is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald "Tweety Bird" Maness of Whitmire; her children, Regina Lynn Maness of Whitmire; Stephen "Bird" Maness (Lisa) of Whitmire; her grandchildren, Charles Lee Sims, III (fiancée, Aminee Point); her great-granddaughter, Paisleigh Danelle Sims; her sisters, Diane King (Tommy) of Whitmire, Toni Suber (Frank) of Whitmire; her special friend, Rebecca Poag; and a host of "Outlaws"; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Maness is predeceased by her brother. Grant Mars.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2 PM at the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church with the burial to take place at the Whitmire Cemetery, with pallbearers, Charles L. Sims, III, Jason Taylor, Brian Taylor, Frank-T T. Suber. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM at the church.
