Joan Shirley Curtis Hanna Reece

Joan Shirley Curtis Hanna Reece age 87 of 28 Peachtree St. passed away Monday, April 28th 2014 at the Hospice of Laurens County.
She was born in Chicago, IL and was a daughter of the late Donald Curtiss and Lola Kramer and raised by her grandparents the late James and Ada Meyer.
Mrs. Reece was retired from Whitten Center as Resident Supervisor of Building 19 and was the oldest member of the Lydia Presbyterian Church. She lived a very active life enjoyed traveling, working puzzles and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are four children, Fred Hanna and wife, Judy of West Des Moines, Iowa, Rossie Hanna and wife, Jane of Clinton, Tommy Reece of Clinton and Karen Shook and husband, Robert of Conyers, GA; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and brothers, Raymond, Rusty and Wayne Kramer.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her two husbands, Fred Hanna and Clayton Reece, a son, Downs Donald Hanna and brothers, James Curtis and Michael Kramer.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 1st at 4:00 p.m. at the Lydia Presbyterian Church.
The family will greet friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., burial of ashes will be Friday, May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

The family will be at the home of her son, Rossie Hanna, 206 Finney Drive, Clinton, SC.
