Joanne Smitherman

Joanne Smitherman, age 75, of 126 Rail Lane, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Whitmire, SC and was a daughter of the late Vernon Huneycutt and Earline Crisp Huneycutt. She was a former seamstress and worked for several shirt manufacturing companies.
Mrs. Smitherman is survived by her husband, James Smitherman of the home; three children, Dale Wilson of Ware Shoals, Renee Osborne of Clinton, and Troy Smitherman of Clinton; her step-children, Debbie Long of Columbia, Tammy Murphy of Greenwood, and Patty Smitherman of Spartanburg; her brother, Jimmy Huneycutt of Whitmire; her eight grandchildren including, Amanda Osborne, Christopher Tinsley, and Zane Osborne; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her daughter, Sandy Jo Dobbins.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 2 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton, with burial to take place at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
