Joe H. Boland, age 87, of 716 Whitmire Hwy, and widower of Ruby Kelley Boland passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Little Mountain and was the son of the late J.L. Nedward and Bessie Bickley Boland.
Mr. Boland retired from Greenwood Mills, Joanna Plant and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna.
Surviving are two sons, Keith Boland of the home and Wayne Boland (Elaine) of Wetumpka, AL; four granddaughters, Adrienne Boland Weathersby (Jonathan Ash) of Boiling Springs, Amy Boland Moseley (Brian) and Kristi Boland of Wetumpka, AL, and Heather Boland Melsby (Rob) of Alaska; and five great-grandchildren. Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Boland.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, March 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
