Joe Louis Mills

Joe Louis Mills, age 89, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, March 31, 2025 at his home.

He was born December 7, 1935 in Spartanburg, SC, and was the son of the late Garnell and Rosa Lee Kennedy Mills. Joe was a special part of his home and brought joy to everyone that knew him. He loved dancing and listening to all music. Joe was a Christian and was baptized at Foster’s Grove Baptist Church in Chesnee, South Carolina.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Rosa Beatrice Mills, and Pearl Reba Mullins, both of Spartanburg; a host of nieces, and nephews; and special caregivers that loved and supported Joe at the Laurens County Disability and Special Needs Board.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Garnell Mills; and his sister, Anna L. Spencer.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton.
