Joe Bayne Spillers, 82, of 330 Gastley Drive, passed away Sunday. December 25, 2016, at the Laurens County Hospice House.
He was born in Greenville and was a son of the late Rev. James Wilbert and Janice Bayne Spillers.
Mr. Spillers retired from Clinton Mills, Azalea Mobile Homes, and the S.C. National Guards. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship.
He is survived by a son, Fred V. Spillers of Clinton; a stepson, Rick Clevenger (Mary) of Clinton; grandsons, Brad Spillers (Katie) of Taylors, and Zachary and William Clevenger; great-grandson, Jackson Spillers; and two sisters, Alma Reynolds of Simpsonville and Betty Fleming Jones of Oregon; and his step-daugher, Gina Clevenger of Clinton.
Mr. Spillers was predeceased by his wife, Vivian Spillers, a son, Joey B. Spillers, and a brother, Jack Spillers.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 3 PM, at Cross Roads Christian Fellowship Church in Joanna. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 PM at the church.
