John Benjamin Bolt

John Benjamin Bolt, of Clinton, SC, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at the age of 76.
Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late John Smith Bolt and Eva Hill Bolt. He graduated from Honea Path High School in 1959 and Erskine College In 1963.
Following graduation John held three positions: Director of Canadian Sales for John D. Hollingsworth on Wheels, Supervisor of Information Systems for GE Gas Turbine manufacturing facility, and lastly, Comptroller for the Cline Company.
John was a lifelong Methodist and an active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church in Clinton, where he spent his retirement years. He was also an associate member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Greenville, SC. He was a member of the Masonic Centre Lodge No. 37 AFM, in Honea Path. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith in Christ and diligent care of his friends and family.
Mr. Bolt is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Robinson Bolt, of Clinton; daughter, Caroline Escuti and son-in-law, Michael Escuti of Cary, NC; daughter, Rebecca Thulson, and son-in-law, David Thulson, of Geneva, IL; and grandchildren: Juliana and Miren Escuti of Cary, and Will Thulson, of Geneva.
He was predeceased by his beloved son, Charles Benjamin Bolt.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Broad Street United Methodist Church in Clinton. The family will receive friends before the service in Hodge’s Hall from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at East View Cemetery in Honea Path.
